Self-generation of electricity and grid connection (law 82-21)

• Legal basis: law 82-21 (self-production), published in BO no. 7400; implementing decree 2-25-100. • Paliers by capacity and connection mode: off-grid declaration; low-voltage registration; medium-voltage (< 5 MW) connection agreement; above (≥ 5 MW) authorisation. • Surplus: injection of surplus is limited to 20% of annual production; remuneration follows the ANRE decision (MAD 0.18–0.21/kWh). • Procedure: grid impact study → technical review → signature of the connection agreement; works must be completed within 2 years of signature. • Capacity: verify the hosting capacity of the target node with ONEE/SRM beforehand.
