Statutory minimum wage (SMIG / SMAG 2026) and working time

• SMIG (industry, commerce, services): MAD 17.92/hour from 1 January 2026 (about MAD 3,422.72 per month over 191 hours). • SMAG (agriculture and forestry): MAD 97.44/day from 1 April 2026. • Basis: second tranche of the social agreement of 29 April 2024, set by décret n° 2.25.983 (BO n° 7469; original available in the official gazette database). • Working time: 44 hours/week (2,288 hours/year) outside agriculture; 2,496 hours/year in agriculture (Labour Code, loi n° 65-99). • Scope: these are statutory floors; branch agreements or contracts may provide better terms, and overtime follows statutory rates.
