- Authorisation: collection, transport, storage and disposal of hazardous waste require a specific authorisation (categories per the official nomenclature).
- Traceability: movements are covered by a tracking form (bordereau de suivi); the producer is responsible for declaration and compliant disposal.
- Mining and processing: associated hazardous waste (e.g. cyanide processes) is subject to sectoral review, with environmental and sectoral authorisations in parallel.
